Richard C. Franklin, M.D. is the Chief of Anesthesiology at Cleveland Medical Center. He grew up in Raleigh, NC and received his bachelors at North Carolina State University. He went to medical school at Wake Forest University and completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is board certified in anesthesiology.
Dr. Franklin has been practicing anesthesiology at Cleveland Regional Medical Center (CRMC) for over 15 years. He lives in Shelby, which he refers to as “the city known for great BBQ, and pleasant living.” Franklin enjoys working at CRMC because, “It is a wonderful medical facility with highly experienced surgical and anesthesia staff that display top notch technical skills with small town friendliness and compassion.”
For 2012 Franklin’s focus is to “maintain the CRMC anesthesia staffs’ commitment to provide assessable high quality anesthesia services while prioritizing patient safety. As needs evolve for more anesthesia services our goal will be to safely incorporate these needs without jeopardizing patient care.”
